AQC - Air Quality Chain

The ‘air quality chain’ is a system for logging, immutable storage and decentralised distribution of environmental measurement data based on blockchain technology. Currently, among other things, the measurement data of the air measurement network of the city of Vienna are processed, which are collected at 17 stationary measuring points for the continuous measurement of air pollutants. These data are published in 30-minute intervals as part of ‘data.gv.at – Open data of Austria’. The data of the Lower Austrian air quality monitoring network are also processed, they are published by "Open Government Data of the State of Lower Austria" as one-hour average values. AQC interfaces periodically load this data and log it on the AQC blockchain, where it is stored invariably and distributed to all participating blockchain nodes (‘nodes’).
