资源简介:
The article presents psychometric properties of the Polish version of the Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale (WEIMS-PL) (Tremblay et al., 2009). The scale is an 18-item measure of work motivation theoretically grounded in self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000). WEIMS-PL consists of six subscales: amotivation (AMO), external regulation (EXT), introjected regulation (INTRO), identified regulation (IDEN), integrated regulation (INTEG) and intrinsic motivation (IM). Each subscale is composed of three items answered on a 7-point Likert’s scale. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was carried out on data collected from three samples of employees, a total of 887 subjects. The results of CFA showed acceptable fit of the empirical data with the six-factor theoretical model. Satisfactory indicators of reliability were also received. Cronbach alpha coefficients for WEIMS-PL subscales ranged from 0,54 (AMO) to 0,85 (INTEG). Test-retest reliability correlations ranged from 0,61 (AMO) to 0,85 (INTEG) for the five week interval between ratings. Work Self-Determined Motivation (WSDM), i.e. IM, INTEG, IDEN and also INTRO correlates with work engagement (UWES) and organizational commitment. The results of analysis conducted on Polish samples are similar to the results received from Canadian samples. peerReviewed publishedVersion
