资源简介:
This study aimed to explore the genomic and metabolic potential of Pseudarthrobacter sp. So.54, an Antarctic bacterial strain isolated from the rhizospheric soil of Colobanthus quitensis. The significance lies in its environmental adaptability and the presence of unique biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs), which may be associated with the production of novel bioactive compounds of biotechnological interest. Whole-genome sequencing, functional annotation, and genomic analysis revealed stress-related pathways and 64 genomic islands involved in environmental adaptation, including heavy metal resistance. Notably, six BGCs with low or no similarity to known clusters were identified, suggesting untapped potential for new natural products. These findings highlight strain So.54 as a candidate for a novel Pseudarthrobacter species with promising applications in biotechnology
