Reality Audit Stage 7 marks the transition from synthetic validation to first-pass real-data analysis within the Commons Sentience Sandbox and associated Reality Audit research track. Prior stages established a continuity-governed simulation environment, an interpretable double-slit benchmark module, and a validated synthetic event-analysis pipeline capable of null-model comparison, synthetic anomaly injection, anomaly recovery, and reproducible artifact generation. Stage 7 formalizes the next operational step: a public-data anisotropy study aligned with the project’s companion roadmap for defensible “simulation-signature” experimentation. At this stage, the program does not claim proof that reality is a simulation. Instead, it advances a narrower and scientifically defensible goal: to build and validate analysis infrastructure that can test whether real event-style datasets exhibit directional, timing, or clustering deviations beyond simple null expectations. The current flagship hypothesis for Stage 7 is preferred-axis / anisotropy analysis. This choice reflects both technical tractability and alignment with the companion roadmap’s recommendation that data-analysis programs should precede costly hardware builds.
