Die Skala Angst vor negativer Bewertung-5 (SANB-5) ist die deutsche Adaptation der Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (Watson & Friend, 1969) und misst die dispositionelle Angst vor negativer Bewertung (Bewertungsängstlichkeit). Seine Haupteinsatzbereiche liegen in der persönlichkeitspsychologischen, sozialpsychologischen oder klinisch-psychologischen Forschung. Der Fragebogen umfasst fünf Items. Reliabilität: Die interne Konsistenz liegt je nach Stichprobe zwischen Cronbachs Alpha = .84 und Alpha = .94. Validität: Die Validierungsuntersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass die SANB-5 faktoriell valide ist. Das einfaktorielle Modell konnte anhand von unterschiedlichen Stichproben belegt werden. Zudem korreliert die SANB-5 fast perfekt mit der Originalversion SANB. Mit der SANB-5 können Personen mit Diagnose einer Sozialphobie von Personen ohne eine solche Diagnose differenziert werden. Schließlich konnte die konvergente und diskriminante Validität anhand diverser Stichproben gesichert werden. Die SANB-5 zeigte insgesamt ein erwartungskonformes Muster an konvergenten und diskriminanten Zusammenhängen mit Maßen der Angst und der Depression sowie den Faktoren des Fünffaktorenmodells der Persönlichkeit.
