Transcriptomic analysis of Streptococcus mutans treated with phosphate@AgNPs nanopolymersomes
收藏资源简介:
Dental caries is a biofilm-associated infectious disease driven primarily by cariogenic bacteria such as Streptococcus mutans. In this study, RNA sequencing was performed to investigate the global transcriptional responses of Streptococcus mutans upon treatment with phosphate@AgNPs nanopolymersomes, a multifunctional nanomaterial designed for antibacterial activity and tooth remineralization. The transcriptomic analysis aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying bacterial growth inhibition and biofilm suppression, with a particular focus on oxidative stress responses, energy metabolism, and cell wall biosynthesis pathways. These data provide mechanistic insights into how phosphate@AgNPs disrupt cariogenic bacterial physiology and support their potential application in caries prevention and management.
