Survey: Sunshine Coast University Hospital - Neurotrauma Workshop 2023

On 22 May, 2023, a neurotrauma workshop was held at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute for staff of the Sunshine Coast Universty Hospital (news details here: https://www.sunshinecoast.health.qld.gov.au/about-us/news/neurotrauma-seminar-explores-traumatic-brain-injuries-on-the-sunshine-coast).

As part of this workshop, 3D printed head models were used for training clinical staff in performing burr holes and craniotomies. These head models were produced by PhD candidate Nalinda Dissanayaka from The University of Queensland. Participants completed a short survey about the head models, and is inlcuded in this data set ("Burr Hole Simulation Model").

Alongside these models, some advanced models with interactive features were displayed by PhD candidate Roozbeh Fakhr from Queensland University of Technology. Surveys were available for people to provide feedback on these models and their features ("Multimodal Training Models" data set).

Surveys and open source dissemination were deemed exempt from Human Research Ethics Committee review by the Metro North Health HREC Committee (LNR/2021/QRW/74330).
