This is a 40Ar/39Ar geochrononology dataset from samples collected along transects across strain gradients associated with fault reactivation in Fiordland. The results have implications for Miocene-Pliocene fault reactivations in the upper plate of an incipient subduction zone at the Puysegur Margin of New Zealand.
