Metabolic responses against RNS stress in Aspergillus nidulans

Reactive nitrosative stress responses(RNS) are poorly understood in filamentous fungi. We screened responsible genes required for RNS tolerance in model fungi Aspergillus nidulans and found a response regulator gene for amino acid starvation. To understand the relationship between the RNS responses and amino acid starvation, we performed RNA-seq of wild-type and gene disruptant of A. nidulans. Further, we monitored each strain's intracellular amino acid levels in response to RNS stress.
