Ring-cup oak (Quercus glauca), the most widespread species in Quercus section Cyclobalanopsis, is an ecologically and economically important component tree of evergreen broad-leaved forest of subtropical East Asia. Here, we generated a high-quality, chromosome-scale reference genome of ring-cup oak from PacBio circular consensus sequencing reads and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) reads.
