The origin of glaucoma is under debate. However, it is well known that glaucoma is produced by an imbalance in the production and drainage of aqueous humour. The conventional drainage system is composed of the trabecular meshwork (at the anterior chamber angle), the Schlemm Canal, and the collector channels. Alterations of any of these components could increase the aqueous humour flow resistance. The hypothesis of this work is that the position of the collector channels has a strong influence on the drainage resistance. Numerical simulations of biologically realistic models were performed, using OpenFOAM. The models were reconstructed from OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography). 青光眼的发病机制尚存争议,但学界已普遍认可,青光眼由房水生成与引流失衡所引发。传统房水引流系统由前房角处的小梁网(trabecular meshwork)、施莱姆管(Schlemm Canal)以及集液管组成。上述任一结构出现改变,均可能提升房水流动阻力。本研究的核心假说为:集液管的位置对引流阻力具有显著影响。研究采用OpenFOAM软件,构建了具有生物学真实性的模型并开展数值模拟。相关模型均基于光学相干断层扫描(Optical Coherence Tomography,OCT)影像重建。实验中设置了符合正常生理水平的入口流量,并将小梁网定义为均质介质……
