Discovery of fungal viruses in three Fusarium asiaticum strains

Based on previous unpublished research, we have identified new fungal viruses in three Fusarium asiaticum strains, BZ6, YT54-2, and LJ70. For example, in BZ6 strain, multiple-segmented vivivirus were discovered. In order to find all viruses or virus segments contained in these three strains, we extracted the total RNA of these three strains and pooled together, and performed RNA-seq with rRNA removal by Ribo-Zero rRNA depletion kit.
