Limit State Behavior of Base Isolated Structures: Base Isolated Moment Frame with Moat Wall Impact and Bumpers
收藏资源简介:
For this experiment, additional shake table tests were conducted on the 3-story moment frame with base isolation. Concrete blocks were attached to the base of the moment frame structure for impact with the moat walls. These tests were conducted with bumpers installed on the concrete blocks for the impact with the moat walls. The bumpers had varying stiffness to see the effect on the structural response. As with the other impact tests, the moat wall distance varied between 4" and 6". The moat wall materials varied as well between concrete and steel, and as with the other tests there were other variables observed with the moat walls. For example, the concrete walls had varying thickness (stiffness) and the steel moat walls were restrained (welded) and unrestrained (not welded).
