Houtsingels monitoring landscape
收藏资源简介:
This file contains wood girths that are part of the measuring net wood girths. These woodsingels are monitored every four years. The status of the woodsingels is determined by aerial comparison. The aim is to gain insight into, among other things, the effectiveness of the policy for the conservation of wood weirs. In Westerwolde, the Gorecht and in the landscape of the Southern Westerkwartier, wood weirs and wood banks occur. They contribute to the variety and contrast between the open and enclosed areas and thus to the diversity of the landscape. They are line-shaped plants with trees and/or shrubs. These elements often form boundaries of parcels or are partitions with a different function. Roughly speaking, two types can be distinguished: plants that are on an artificial earthen wall (wood wall) and plants that are at the same height as the surrounding land (wood wall). Part of the wood weirs from this stock are part of the monitoring network, which means that they are monitored every four years. The status of the other woodsingels is unknown.
