Ammonoid conch ornamentation: 3D models, CFD, and PIV

Current version (V3): This zip folder contains supplementary data for a project involving the functional morphology and hydromechanics of ammonoid conch ornamentation. Dataset S1 contains morphological measurements of ammonoid ornamentation patterns. Dataset S2 contains 3D meshes (in STL format) of all physical model components, and all virtual hydrostatic model components. Dataset S3 contains flow visualization videos (colormap = fluid vorticity), resulting from Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) experiments. Dataset S4 contains videos showing vorticity and velocity computed from transient Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for the smooth and very coarse models. 

Previous versions:

V1: Dataset S1 contained tables that are now located in the SI pdf in the published article. The second version of dataset S1 contains specimen measurements and reference numbers. 

V2: Specimen numbers in Dataset S1 have been updated since this version.
