C57BL/6 mice were fed ad libitum on isocaloric diets with different macronutrient composition for 6 weeks and DNA from small intestine content were extracted for 16S rRNA sequencing. The diets consist of a high-protein diet (60% protein, 20% carbohydrate, 20% fat by net metabolizable energy), high-carbohydrate diet (5% protein, 75% carbohydrate, 20% fat) and a high-fat diet (5% protein, 20% carbohydrate, 75% fat)
