CyclinD2-mediated regulation of neurogenic output from the retinal ciliary margin is perturbed in albinism

Ciliary margin zone cells have differential neurogenic potential in albino and pigmented eyes. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of albino and pigmented eyes to determine transcriptomic changes underlying differential RGC genesis. Overall design: Peripheral retina cells containing ciliary margin zone was isloated using a-Cre;Td mice on albino and pigmented backgrounds. Cells were isolated by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) according to the presence TdTomato signal and analyzed using scRNAseq.
