(MBTI) The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Dataset contains MBTI types of a large number of individuals. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (abbreviated as MBTI) is a personality typing system that categorizes each person into 16 distinct personality types across four axes: Introversion (I) – Extraversion (E), Intuition (N) – Sensing (S), Thinking (T) – Feeling (F), and Judging (J) – Perceiving (P). For example, an individual with Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, and Perceiving preferences is labeled INTP under the MBTI system, and numerous personality-based components can model or describe this person’s preferences or behaviors based on this label.

Even so, it remains one of the most popular personality quizzes worldwide. It is applied in business, online environments, entertainment, research, and various other fields. A simple Google search will uncover all the diverse applications of this test over time. It is fair to state that this test remains highly influential worldwide in terms of adoption.

From a scientific and psychological standpoint, it is based on the work of Carl Jung (i.e., Jungian typology) concerning cognitive functions. This is a model proposing eight distinct functions, thought processes, or modes of thinking residing in the human brain. Later, this work was adapted into several different personality systems to enhance usability, with the most prominent being, of course, the MBTI.

The goal of this dataset is to assist in exploring whether any detectable patterns exist between specific MBTI types and their writing styles, thereby generally testing the model’s validity in analyzing, predicting, or classifying behaviors.

- Type: the 4-letter MBTI code/classification of the individual
- A segment of each of their latest 50 posts (each entry is separated by the "|||" (three vertical line characters))
