资源简介:
Iot waste management system and recycling  The exponential growth in population and urbanization has intensified the global waste management crisis, with traditional collection methods proving inefficient, costly, and environmentally harmful. This study explores the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in waste management and recycling, highlighting its potential to optimize collection, enhance recycling rates, and reduce operational costs. IoT-enabled systems—comprising smart sensors, RFID tags, cloud platforms, and AI-driven analytics—enable real-time monitoring, predictive modeling, and route optimization for waste collection. Case studies from cities such as Barcelona, Seoul, and Bangalore demonstrate significant benefits, including 30–40% fewer collection trips, 20–25% fuel savings, and improved recycling efficiency by up to 70%. Despite advantages, challenges remain, including high deployment costs, connectivity issues, sensor durability, and data security risks. Future directions emphasize leveraging 5G, edge computing, and blockchain to create scalable, secure, and autonomous waste management solutions. The findings suggest that IoT adoption in waste management not only reduces environmental impact and operational costs but also contributes to building smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable cities.
