Pasteurella multocida, an encapsulated, Gram-negative organism causing respiratory infections in farm animals including haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) and bovine respiratory disease in cattle and buffaloes. HS is considered to be a serious, acute and highly fatal disease.Whole genome sequencing is an important tool for exploring presence of different virulence genes, bacterial defence factor, signal molecule that may play a vital role in pathogenesis or host defence mechanism. This may help in in-silico analysis of immunodominant T- and B-cell epitopes using bioinformatics analysis that might be further used in development of synthetic construct based vaccines.
