Origin of two distinct peripheral T-cell lymphomas from clonal hematopoiesis.

Clonal hematopoiesis (CH) has been established as a precursor lesion not only of myeloid neoplasms but also of follicular helper T-cell lymphoma angioimmunoblastic-type (AITL), yet its relationship to peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), not otherwise specified (NOS) remains unclear. Here we report a case of AITL and cytotoxic PTCL, NOS evolving from the same CH clone, confirming that CH represents a precursor lesion to cytotoxic PCTL, NOS as well and demonstrating that a CH clone can evolve divergently into two overt T-cell lymphomas of different T-cell lineage.
