Accessible chromatin profiles (ATAC) at single-cell level of human post-mortem brain tissue from the orbitofrontal cortex

The human cortex consists of a variety of different cell types. We used single-nuclei ATAC sequencing to characterize cell-type specific open chromatin profiles in a cohort of psychiatrically healthy controls and individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disease. Overall design: Fresh-frozen post mortem orbitofrontal cortex tissues of Brodmann area 11 (BA 11) was obtained from the NSW Brain Tissue Resource Centre in Sydney, Australia. Single-nucleus ATAC sequencing from tissue samples from 35 psychiatrically healthy donors and 57 donors diagnosed with a psychiatric disease was performed.
