Chosenia is a genus with a single endangered species Chosenia arbutifolia. Here, we firstly report a high-quality, chromosome-scale Chosenia arbutifolia reference genome sequence of 339 Mb, with contig N50 of 1.68 Mb, which was assembled by combining PacBio HiFi reads and Hi-C sequencing data. Repetitive sequences accounted for 42.34% of the assembly length, and 33,229 protein-coding genes were annotated.
