The effect of mechanical ventilation on mRNA expression in rat myocardium

Mechanical ventilation can cause myocardial injury, which was previously believed to be mainly related to hemodynamic changes or systemic inflammatory cytokine release. This study aims to explore the changes in myocardial mRNA expression profile during mechanical ventilation induced myocardial injury at the transcriptomic level.
