Annona squamosa strain:Sitafal, NMK-1 Transcriptome or Gene expression

Annona squamosa L., a popular fruit tree, is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Annona. The lack of transcriptomic and genomic information limits the scope of investigations into the molecular mechanisms underlying fruit and seed development. To facilitate research on A. squamosa, a massive pyrosequencing (Roche, 454 GS FLX+) of transcriptome of early stages of fruit development was performed in two genotypes, Sitaphal and NMK-1, showing significant difference in fruit seed number.
