Predict the incidence of Guillain Barré Syndrome and Arbovirus Infection in Mexico, 2014-2019

The objective of this study was to predict the number
of GBS cases related to the cumulative incidence of ZIKV / DENV / CHIKV
simultaneous circulating arboviruses in Mexico from 2014 to 2019. This
information can be useful in public health and provides an opportunity to
improve capacities for the prevention of arboviruses and supplies in the
treatment of GBS.

Methods: A six-year time series ecological study was
carried out on cases registered in the epidemiological surveillance system as acute
flaccid paralysis that were identified as GBS, and an estimation was performed of
DENV, ZIKV and CHIKV cases registered as EVS vector-borne diseases.
