Opinion on local culture helping to raise regional pride in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted in February 2021, close to 80 percent of respondents in Japan stated that cultural assets of a residential area, such as traditional festivals or historical architecture, help people to grow fond of their region. Every season offers a variety of regional festivals across the country. One of the most well known regional festivals is the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, a Japanese summer festival held every August in Aomori prefecture.
