GCIP/LSA-NW 00: MBRFC WSR-88D Stage III Hourly Precipitation Imagery. Version 1.0

This data set contains data from the NOAA Missouri Basin River Forecast Center (MBRFC). The MBRFC routinely ingests WSR-88D precipitation derived products (Level III) from each of the radar sites with coverage in the Missouri River Basin. In addition the MBRFC ingests real-time precipitation data from several hundred gages. The MBRFC produces a number of derived or "Stage" products using the radar and precipitation gage data. A Stage II product is produced by merging radar precipitation estimates (Stage I) with ground truth data provided by the gages. The Stage II estimates are then composited into a Stage III precipitation 4 x 4 km resolution area averaged mosaic for the Missouri River Basin.本数据集包含美国国家海洋和大气管理局（National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA）密苏里流域河流预报中心（Missouri Basin River Forecast Center, MBRFC）的相关数据。该预报中心常态化接收覆盖密苏里河流域各雷达站点所生成的WSR-88D（Weather Surveillance Radar-1988 Doppler）降水衍生产品（Level III 级产品）。此外，该中心还获取来自数百个雨量计的实时降水观测数据。该中心依托雷达与降水雨量计数据，生成多款衍生分级（Stage）产品。其中Stage II级产品通过将雷达降水估算结果（Stage I级产品）与雨量计提供的地面实测数据融合生成。随后，上述Stage II级估算结果会被合成为适用于密苏里河流域的、分辨率为4×4千米的Stage III级区域平均降水镶嵌拼图产品。
