Gloucester Groundwater Usage Estimates v20150501

## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThis data set supercedes the previous Gloucester groundwater usage estimates data sets created in January 2015.\n\n\n\nThe aim of this dataset was to be able to estimate each groundwater works/bores with the volumetric entitlement and location of each groundwater bore with respective to the water source area in the Gloucester subregion. An estimation of volumetric extraction is made (in ML) based on the yield values reported in the updated data sets provided by the NSW Office of Water in March 2015. This has been clipped to the Gloucester subregion. \n\n\n\nA spatial dataset (point shapefile GLO_Bore_extractions.shp) has been derived from this data for report map purposes.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nBore locations in the National Groundwater Information System v1.1 Sept2013 database that were spatially located within the Gloucester subregion boundary were extracted and filed in the BA_SYD/GLO project area.\n\n\n\nGroundwater works with the volumetric entitlement in the Glouster Economic Assets 26032015 database that were spatially located withing the Gloucester subregion boundary were extracted and filed in the BA_SYD/GLO project area.\n\n\n\nBased on the Yield values reported in the Glouster_Economic Assets 26032015 database, groundwater extraction volumes were estimated and filed in the BA_SYD/GLO project area.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2015) Gloucester Groundwater Usage Estimates v20150501.
