This layer catalogs alleys within the City of Dallas for which the pavement width, measured from the center-line to the usable edge, is approximately 8 feet or 9 feet. The purpose of the layer is to support route planning and decision-making regarding whether collection should be performed from the alley or from the curb. In addition, the layer includes pavement categories (for example: asphalt, concrete, or other pavement types), providing a means to assess the physical condition and suitability of each alley segment for service operations.
