Water body catchment areas (WFD) Lower Saxony and Bremen

The smallest delimited hydrological level of the WFD is the water body. These are primary/direct catchment areas of the water framework directive bodies of surface waters (WFD rivers, lakes, transitional and coastal waters) on a basic scale. Each point in Lower Saxony can be assigned to exactly one water body into which the resulting surface water drains in accordance with the terrain relief.
