ThePandemicInfluenzaPreparedness(PIP)FrameworkisaWorldHealthAssemblyresolutionadoptedunanimouslybyallMemberStatesin2011.ItbringstogetherMemberStates,industry,otherstakeholdersandWHOtoimplementaglobalapproachtopandemicinfluenzapreparednessandresponse.TheFrameworkincludesabenefit-sharingmechanismcalledthePartnershipContribution(PC).ThePCiscollectedasanannualcashcontributionfrominfluenzavaccine,diagnostic,andpharmaceuticalmanufacturersthatusetheWHOGlobalInfluenzaSurveillanceandResponseSystem(GISRS).Fundsareallocatedfor:(a)pandemicpreparednesscapacitybuilding;(b)responseactivitiesduringthetimeofaninfluenzapandemic;and(c)PIPSecretariatforthemanagementandimplementationoftheFramework.ThisreportpresentsoverallsuccessmetricsandinfographicstoillustrateprogressinPIPFrameworkimplementation.Aprogressreportispublishedfourtimesabiennium,andcoverstechnicalandfinancialimplementationforthePIPPCHigh-LevelImplementationPlanII(HLIPII),aswellasthePIPSecretariat.Milestonesarereportedeverysixmonthsandindicatorsarereportedyearly.Alldataarepresentedcumulativelyfromthebeginningofeachbiennium,inthiscase,1January2022.
