B. cenocepacia strain C6433 is an epidemic strain isolated from Canadian CF patients (Mahenthiralingam et al. 2000) and has proven to be very useful in the lab. C6433 is particularly useful when it comes to phage research in our lab, as 8 out of our current 12 Bcc phages can infect this strain.
