Underwater video monitoring of cyprinids in the Rondegat River, Cederberg, Western Cape, South Africa, 2018 - 2019.

This dataset consists of records of 51 sites of bi-annual underwater camera deployments in the Rondegat River, South Africa. Records include date, time, geographic coordinates, physico-chemical readings and physical descriptions of sites, as well as the recorded relative abundances of three endemic cyprinid species. The dataset is intended to contribute to the monitoring programme of the Rondegat River following the eradication of non-native predatory fishes in 2012, as well as enhancing understanding of the population dynamics and habitat associations of the study species.
