资源简介:

This dataset contains microbial activity and bulk sediment data from a 7-week aerobic laboratory incubation experiment simulating Arctic greening with sediments from a retrogressive thaw slump on Kurungnakh Island in the Lena River Delta, northeastern Siberia. The experiment was conducted to assess how microtopography and increased substrate availability affect microbial activity in a greening Arctic, as these controls remain insufficiently understood in thawing permafrost landscapes. The dataset includes CO₂ production rates, bacterial growth rates, fungal growth rates, fungal:bacterial growth ratios, carbon-use efficiency, potential hydrolytic C-, N-, and P-acquiring enzyme activities, as well as bulk sediment properties.Sediment samples were collected during an expedition in July/August 2018 from active layer pits at three sites: two thaw mounds (TM1, TM2) containing Pleistocene-aged Yedoma sediments and the slump floor (SF), where Pleistocene and Holocene sediments were mixed due to erosion.
