Continuous measurement of black carbon (BC) is made using condensation particle counters at Syowa Station, Antarctica (69S, 39E). BC data and optical data record every 15 minutes. Air is taken from air inlet at ca. 5 m above ground. Sampled air is distributed into each instrument inside observatory. Because of low BC concentration in the Antarctic, BC concentrations are analyzed and corrected with resolution longer than 2 hours.
