Dataset of articles published in Scopus-indexed journals of the Emergency Medicine subject area (Jan 2014-Sep 2024)

This dataset contains the list of articles published in Scopus-indexed journals of the Emergency Medicine subject area.
To compose the dataset, in October 2024, all journals of the Emergency Medicine subject area were identified using the Scopus Sources page, excluding journals without impact metrics.
For every journal (n=109), all documents published from 2014 onwards were found except erratum, retraction, and conference papers.
Lists of the documents, including document title, year of publication, citation count, link to a document, author affiliation, abstract, author keywords, and language of an original document, were downloaded as .csv files and then merged into a single dataset table (Dataset_source.xlsx). Non-English document titles were manually removed.
For automated topic modelling, the corpus of document titles was pre-processed by removing special characters, punctuations, and excessive whitespaces, and changing all text to lowercase (Dataset_cleaned.xlsx).
