Shallow model of Antwerp, v1.1 (2023)

The Deep Geological 3D Low and Voxel Model of the Antwerp Region (OA v1, 2023) represents the variation in the composition of the subsoil up to -50 mTAW for the urban region of Antwerp and part of the Port of Antwerp. The model was drawn up in the framework of the Flemish Government’s management agreement with VITO, known as VLAKO, on behalf of the Flemish Planning Bureau for Environment. The model shall include: — the height in mTAW of the base and top of the modelled packages under the shape of grid-asc files, – the thickness of the modelled parcels under grid-asc files, – limits of the package, – drilling, sounding, and interpretations on which the model is based, and – density maps. In addition, the model provides a voxel model with variation per volume of 25 * 25 * 0.5 m in lithology, unit and a description of the overall composition of the unit and of the variation in the glauconite content. Everything is documented in a report and related files.
