Single cell spatial transcriptome and RNA-seq analysis in human lung tissues with mycobacterial infection: RNA-seq analysis

Tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) diseases are infections caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria, leading to the formation of granulomatous lesions with caseous necrosis in the lungs. We applied spatial transcriptomics at single-cell resolution (CosMx Spatial Molecular Imaging) to human lung samples from patients with mycobacterial infections. RNA-seq was also performed on the samples. Overall design: FFPE samples ( 5 MTB, 7 NTM, 12 granulomatous diseases including 2 RN, 3 Aspergillosis, 3GPA, 3SA, and 1 aspiration pneumonia, 4 control lung, and 4 tonsils) were analyzed with RNA-seq to reveal RNA expression profile in each sample.
