资源简介:
This dataset brings together a series of panoramic and standard photographs collected during the field campaign conducted in the Kerguelen Islands during the austral summer of 2024–2025, as part of the IPEV 136 SUBANTECO program and my doctoral research on vegetation dynamics and sub-Antarctic landscapes. Images were acquired using a panoramic camera (Insta360 X5) and a digital reflex camera (Canon EOS 450D, 18–250 mm IS lens) during pedestrian surveys across eight sites previously identified through satellite-based landscape analyses. Content of the Dataset The photographs provide a visual characterization of the five radiometric landscape classes derived from MODIS NDVI time series (2003–2022). For each landscape type, four representative images are included, illustrating the diversity of habitats and environmental conditions associated with each class. Panoramic and standard images of five radiometric landscape classes Four representative photographs per landscape type File naming includes both the landscape type and geographic area These data serve both as a field-based validation of satellite analyses and as visual documentation of the spatial organization and heterogeneity of landscapes in the archipelago. While representative of the areas surveyed during the campaign, this dataset does not cover the full range of habitat diversity across the Kerguelen Islands. It nevertheless provides a reference sample that can support research on landscape dynamics, terrestrial biodiversity, and the impacts of climate change in sub-Antarctic environments.
