High optical-tooptical efficiency 100-W thin-disk regenerative amplifier dataset

Based on Yb:YAG single-sheet laser module, a double-pass regenerative amplification system was designed and built, which achieved a laser output with a repetition rate of 10 kHz, pulse width of 3.4 ns and an average power of 137 W under 500 W continuous pumping, with an optical efficiency of 27.4%, which was more than double the optical efficiency of 13.3% compared with the single-pass thin-disk regenerative amplifier, and the beam quality M2 factors in the horizontal and vertical directions were 1.15 and 1.08, respectively. Without active feedback control, the stability peak-to-valley (PV) and root mean square values (RMS) of the laser output within 3.5 hours of average power are 5.77% and 0.77%, respectively, and the optical conversion efficiency and output power stability of the optimized thin-disk regenerative amplifier are greatly improved.
