Transcriptome analysis of sequence-specific RNA cleavage by Nitrosomonas europaea mazF in E. coli JM109

MazF cleaves RNA in a sequence-specific manner, and the cleavage sequence varies depending on the microorganism from which it originates. The identification of RNAs that are specifically cleaved by MazF is necessary for understanding the survival strategies of host bacteria harboring MazF and for establishing novel antimicrobial technologies using MazF. In this study, we experimentally analyzed which genes are cleaved by MazF from Nitrosomonas europaea.
