Data and R code for: A physico-chemical framework for explaining the generation mechanism of nocturnal soil CO2 uptake in deserts.

Machine-readable dataset (563 nocturnal soil CO2 uptake observations from 30 published studies across five desert regions) and the complete R analysis code supporting the associated manuscript. The project includes a cleaned CSV with ASCII column names, a stepwise R pipeline (data cleaning, linear mixed-effects model, random forest, relative importance, piecewise structural equation model), and all 300-dpi figures.
