The Sanger Institute's Pathogen Sequencing Unit (PSU) will undergo a partial shotgun sequence of Trypanosoma congolense, a parasite that infects livestock. Small insert libraries are constructed for the sequencing project with an initial goal of obtaining a 1x coverage of the nuclear genome.
