资源简介:
Since 2010, the Centre for Monitoring of Vectors (CMV) of the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), has a surveillance program in place to detect and control invasive mosquito species (IMS) at locations with increased risk of import, like companies trading in risk goods and other points of entry. At companies that import used tires from risk areas, the CMV implements surveillance using adult mosquito traps. In case of an IMS finding, the monitoring is intensified (weekly sampling, extra BG-Sentinel traps and larval sampling) and extended to an area of 500 m from the premises of the company. On September 6th 2021, eight Aedes koreicus larvae were found in a larval sample taken from a water-containing bucket. These larvae were both morphologically and molecularly (Illumina sequencing) identified. Additional sampling after the finding, which was followed by mosquito control using larvicides, did not lead to further findings of the species.
