冰川表面反照率是冰川质量和能量平衡过程的一个关键参数。该数据内容包括覆盖全球冰川区域2000-2023每月的平均冰川表面反照率。基于MODIS 500m分辨率的每日积雪反照率产品(包括MOD10A1和MYD10A1)生成,首先对上午星数据MOD10A1和下午星数据MYD10A1采用均值合成,其次采用±2天窗口内的数据采用均值滤波进行插值和空值填补,最后基于平均值方法得到全球冰川的月平均反照率。相比较原始数据,数据的精度和覆盖程度都得到极大的提高。可为研究冰川反照率与物质平衡之间的关系以及建立相关冰川模型提供月度冰面反照率输入数据。可在此基础上合成季节尺度平均反照率和年平均反照率。数据以RGI分区为基础,分为19个区域。
Surface albedo over glaciers is a critical parameter for glacier mass and energy balance processes. This dataset contains monthly mean surface albedo over global glacier areas from 2000 to 2023. Generated based on the MODIS 500m-resolution daily snow albedo products (including MOD10A1 and MYD10A1), the dataset is produced via three sequential steps: first, synthesizing the morning satellite data MOD10A1 and afternoon satellite data MYD10A1 using the mean value method; second, performing interpolation and null value filling with mean filtering using data within a ±2-day window; finally, deriving the monthly mean albedo over global glaciers via the averaging method. Compared with the original MODIS products, the accuracy and coverage of this dataset have been significantly improved. It can provide monthly surface albedo input data for studying the relationship between glacier albedo and mass balance, as well as for constructing relevant glacier models. Seasonal-scale and annual mean albedo can also be synthesized based on this dataset. The dataset is divided into 19 regions based on the Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI) zones.
