Network VB, previously called University of Alicante Seismic Record Unit, started in 1993 with SP seismometers and analogue recording. Valencian Broad band network belongs to Institut Cartogràfic Valencià (ICV) and is operated by the University of Alicante (UA) in collaboration with the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN). The aim is to monitor the SE of the Iberian Peninsula and surrounding countries seismicity.
