Sales volume of Maruti Suzuki passenger cars in India September 2024, by model

In September 2024, close to 145 thousand units of passenger cars from Maruti Suzuki were sold across India. Ertiga and Swift were the most popular models sold during the presented period. Eritiga is a MUV with seven seats and Swift is in the supermini car segment. For many years, the hatchback was the most popular type of passenger vehicle sold in India. But in recent years, SUV/crossover has caught up and surpassed hatchback. The most popular SUV/crossover in 2024 was Maruti Brezza.
