Autism-Microbiota

This study analyzes the gut microbiota composition of children from Uruguay diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their neurotypical siblings. Fecal samples were collected, and bacterial 16S rRNA gene amplicons were sequenced to compare microbial diversity and composition between the two groups. The project aims to explore potential associations between gut microbiota and neurodevelopmental conditions within a shared familial and environmental background.
