资源简介:
Six samples from a column excavated through a burnt rock midden at the Sims-Mayner
site (CA-LAN-3151) were examined for macrofloral remains. This site is located in the Chilao
Flat Recreation Area of the San Gabriel Mountains in southwest California, and it represents a
small habitation initially occupied around AD 390-550. Projectile points suggest affiliation with
the Rose Spring Cultural Complex (cal AD 200-1100). Macrofloral analysis will be used to
provide information concerning plant resources utilized by the occupants of this site, specifically
season of use, woods burned as fuel, and types of resources processed.
